EA Patras qualified to the last 16 of the European volleyball’s Challenge Cup by beating Finland’s Sun Oulu 3-0 at home on Wednesday, while Lamia bowed out from the same competition, as did Aris from the CEV Cup.

EAP had won 3-1 in Finland in the first leg and thrashed their opponents 3-0 at home (25-19, 25-22, 26-22), to set up a two-leg tie with Romania’s Unirea Dej in the last 16 of the Challenge Cup, Europe’s third-tier club competition.

Lamia suffered their second loss to Italian giants Macerata, this time with a 3-0 score (25-14, 25-18, 25-16) in Italy.

In the CEV Cup on Tuesday Aris lost in the second leg, too, to Kedzierzyn. The Polish side won 3-2 at Thessaloniki (25-20, 23-25, 20-25, 25-19, 15-13) to reach the quarterfinals of the continent’s second-tier tournament.
