Greek Super League club Atromitos have offered a trial to a young Greek Australian striker from Tasmania.
Kostas Kanakaris, a 22-year-old who is signed to South Hobart, left Australia for Greece yesterday where he will trial with Atromitos, who finished runners up to AEK Athens in the Greek Cup Final last week.
The Athens club are coached by former Greek international Giorgos Donis and includes several high quality players, including Senegalese international Henri Camara. Kanakaris has been a sensation for South this year, having scored 10 goals, including two hat-tricks and has presented himself as one of the Tasmanian league’s finest players.
