An unnamed neighbour has complained about to the Kingston Council about a vacant block being used to house two lambs and two ewes which has forced the council to insist that residents wanting to keep sheep on a suburban block to have a permit.
But the children of the area are hoping the council will enable them to keep the sheep, that are currently bringing joy and a community feeling to all around. George Vryonis who owns the block oppositve to the sheep, said he put the sheep on the block after the original owner of the sheep, an 86-year-old collapsed while mowing the lawn.
Vryonis told Herald Sun the “primary thought was to help out the owner but not it’s turned into something truly fantastic because it’s brought the whole community closer”.
