Saint Paraskevi Greek Orthodox Church in Blacktown will be hosting a week of activities for their patron saint, Saint Paraskevi starting next week.

On Monday 25 July, the Great Vespers service officiated by His Eminence Archbishop Stylianos of Australia will be held at Saint Paraskevi church between 7.00 and 8.30 pm.

Following Monday nights service, the parish will be hosting dinner for all in the parish and community hall.

On Tuesday 26 July, the Matins and Divine Liturgy, celebrated by His Grace Bishop Seraphim of Apollonias between 8.00 and 11.00 am. Following the Divine Liturgy, lunch will be served in the parish and community hall.

On Sunday 31 July, another Matins and Divine Liturgy will be held.

Following the Divine Liturgy, a procession of Saint Paraskevi’s holy icon and holy relic will take place. This will be followed by the traditional celebrations of the Saint Paraskevi parish and community.

During the feast day celebrations, the faithful will have the opportunity to venerate the holy relic of Saint Paraskevi.
