The volume of Greek retail turnover declined by another 4.3 per cent in July, year on year, according to figures released by the Hellenic Statistical Authority (Elstat) on Wednesday.
In a report, Elstat said that the turnover index in retail trade, excluding automotive fuel, recorded a fall of 2.7 percent in July 2011 compared with July 2010. The volume index in retail trade, excluding automotive fuel, recorded a fall of 2.5 per cent in July 2011 compared with July 2010.
According to provisional results, the turnover index in retail trade at current prices, excluding automotive fuel, recorded a fall of 2.7 per cent in July 2011 compared with July 2010. The index in July 2010 recorded a decrease of 7.8 per cent compared with July 2009. The turnover index in retail trade, including automotive fuel, recorded a fall of 2.5 percent in July 2011 compared with July 2010.
