It was the battle of the Greek fishmongers at the 2011 Market Stars Trader Cook Off, with Maria Yiannatzis from The Seafood and Oyster Spot at Queen Victoria Market winning the title. As the cook of the day, Maria’s dish of baked salmon with capsicum and olive salsa went head-to-head with Prahran Market’s Terry Lantouris, from Theo and Son’s Seafood, and Nick Miriklis from South Melbourne Seafood.
The Trader Cook Off gives each fishmonger the opportunity to highlight their areas of expertise and showcase an ingredient from the trader’s stall as its hero in their feature dish of the day.
