The Concert of Byzantine Music will take place this Sunday to celebrate teacher Ilias Fragoulis and the history of the Assocation of Friends of Byzantine Ecclesiastical Music.

The event will acknowledge the lifelong zeal of Mr Fragoulis and his committment to the education and nurturing theByzantine music is the community. Since his arrival to Australia in 1955, he has taught Byzantine music to anyone who wished to learn. His students now reach in the hundreds and have attained positions in their respective church choir, not only in Australia but also in Greece and America. Mr Fagoulis was gvient he honorary title of ARchon of the Holy Archdioceses of Australia for this committment that he has neved asked to be paid for any of this lessons.

The Concert of Byzantine Music will take place Sunday 23 October at St George College Performing Arts and Sports centre. Entry is free.
