Carlton star forward Jarrad Waite has signed a new three-year deal with the Blues and looks like finishing his career as a one team player. The 28-year-old forward has played 143 senior games since being drafted under the father-son rule in 2001.

Waite has suffered injury setbacks and a number of suspensions in recent years. He kicked 16 goals in 12 AFL games this season. Due to a prolonged hip complaint and subsequent surgery, he missed Carlton’s elimination-final thrashing of Essendon and semi-final loss to the Eagles. The tall Carlton forward has now turned the corner, looking for an uninterrupted pre-season build-up and a huge year in 2012.

Leon ‘Neon’ Davis has parted ways with the Magpies, opting to return home to Western Australia. The 30-year-old defender has claimed that Collingwood would not be party to what he was asking for in a new contract and therefore it was time for him to move.

He will now try his luck in the local Western Australian league or may still nominate for the pre-season draft hoping for either the Eagles or Dockers to pick him up.
