Grade 3 students from Holy Name Primary Preston East were given an escorted tour by the Minister for Multicultural Affairs and Citizenship, Nicholas Kotsiras of what life is like in parliament, last Friday.

Mr Kotsiras gave the students an indication of what life was like as the Multicultural Minister, and discussed the machinations of Victorian Goverment. He said that students coming from a diversity of cultures represents the success of Victoria’s multiculturalism, such as the ones from Holy Name Primary School.

“We are all different, we may all come from different cultural backgrounds but we are all Australians, that’s what makes Australia so special,” Mr Kotsiras said.

“Holy Name Primary School is an excellent example of the diversity which makes this state great.

“If you work really hard, if you have ambition and faith in your abilities you can achieve anything you want,” Mr Kotsiras said.
