English Premier League club Everton are reportedly ready to make an offer to AEK Athens for defender Kostas Manolas.

Everton manger David Moyes is eager to bolster his defence following a frustrating summer in the transfer market with their precarious financial situation limiting them to a handful of loan moves, while Moyes witnessed star player Mike Arteta leave for Arsenal.
It is thought Everton have managed to free up some finances to allow their manager to recruit some new players in January and, according to reports in Greece, he has set his sights on Manolas.

It is thought Moyes is keeping a close eye on the 20-year-old centre-half and is eager to make an official move, with uncertainty surrounding the future of Sylvain Distin.
The French defender is yet to agree terms to a new contract and Manolas could be brought in as a replacement.
The Greece under-21 star is yet to make his full debut for the national side, but has been in impressive form all season for AEK.
