George Tsalikis has been in Australia over the past few weeks, where he quarantined and performed some much awaited concerts for the Greek community.

Having already given some sensational live performance nationwide, he had to leave Melbourne in order to make it into Sydney in time for more shows.

With a post on Instagram, the singer told his fans that they he and his colleagues had to leave Victoria due to the rise of coronavirus cases.

“Hey kids, good morning! To get a bit of a grasp of how things work in Australia, we were doing our business in Melbourne and today, there’s been one case. One, in Melbourne and they’ve shut down everything. People at home, for one case.

We are leaving in a hurry going to Sydney where there are no cases to work. It’s a bit like Joker here, but thank God, it’s all going well. If Australia had 4,000 cases like Greece, they’d have dug 150m underground tunnels and would come out in 2024. That’s why they are relaxed and free. We left Melbourne as if someone was chasing us, came to Sydney. We are ready! Sydney should get ready guys!”

Even though the singer wasn’t condemning the Australian government at all, his caption has raised dozens of negative comments.

George Tsalikis’ last Melbourne concert was scheduled for 6June.
