After four days, former AFL footballer Ben Cousins is still in a Perth hospital getting treatment on head and neck injuries he is suffereing from.

Cousins sustained the injuries after he fell when he slipped getting out of a shower at the drug rehabilitation centre Abbotsford Hospital in West Leederville on Monday.

This has raised concern that Cousins is suffering from greater injury, but also fear that he has relapsed into drug taking again.

Cousins has been in the public eye after he was banned for a year from AFL for his drug use and for it bringing the game into disrepute. His public battle with addiction was seen in his documentary and tell-all autobiography Such is Life.
