The Victorian Multicultural Commission’s (VMC) Media Internships Grant Program is now open.
The internship grant is available to support media organisations to deliver work experience, professional development training and leadership programs to aspiring journalists. The program is aimted to support the multicultural media organisation to deliver work experience, professional development training and leadership to aspiring journalists. Five grants of $5000 each are available to media organisations to host a media intern.
A multicultural media oganisation can apply on the premise they have an ABN; are a registered company under the Corporations Act, or an incorporated association under the Victorian Associations Incorporation Act; keeps proper accounting standards and yearly financial statements; has submitted applicatoins in accordance with specific timelines and processes; and has satisfactory acquitted all previous grants from the VMC.
Applications must be submitted to the VMC by 5:00 pm on Wednesday 29 February. The applications will be assessed by the VMC and applications will be notified about the outcome in May 2012. Late or incomplete applicatoins will not be considered.
