The Federal Government is expected to offer a “substantial amount” to the Greek Community of Melbourne and Victoria (GOCMV) to go towards the building of the new Hellenic Cultural Centre in Lonsdale Street.
According to Neos Kosmos’ sources, Prime Minister Julia Gillard is expected to make the announcement at today’s Lonsdale Street Glendi.
Neither the GOCMV or the Prime Minister’s Office were able to confirm the report yesterday, but our sources were “certain” that an announcement will be made.
