Colour, celebrations and culture is what you’ll be expecting at this year’s Oakleigh Music Festival and Neos Kosmos will have a ‘Hellenic Lounge’ right in the heart of Oakleigh providing a place for the punters to refresh with Greek coffee, dessert and entertainment by Manasis dance group.

The City of Monash will be buzzing with fabulous food, family fun and community events starting from the 8 March and going right through to the massive Oakleigh Music Festival that will take place from midday to 6:00 pm on Sunday 18 March.

The festival is a free community celebration in Warrawee Park. A family fun day, the park will come alive with music, song and dance.

The Flavours of Monash stage will entice palettes of every persuasion with a feast of cooking from local community groups.

Jalisco and Tequila, Chuchu Club, Ethiopia Group, Kariatides Oakleigh Greek Women’s Group, Calabrisella Senior Citizens, South Sudanese Family Foundation, Indian Senior Citizens Association, Indonesian Club Melbourne and the Kingston Chinese Senior Citizens will be cooking up a storm on the stage with traditional recipes. Continuing the music theme, each group will be performing traditional dances over the afternoon.

Monash Mayor Stefanie Perri said, “This Festival is a great family day out, with something for everyone, including a Kid’s Zone that will have activities for children throughout the day.”

Oakleigh Music Festival will take place in Warrawee Park on Sunday 18 March from midday to 6:00 pm.
