Melbourne gave 23-year-old forward Liam Jurrah, leave to return home to the Northern Territory to deal with family matters. The Demons forward returned “to support his family and community through a challenging period”.
Jurrah has since been arrested and charged for an alleged machete attack. A tribal feud erupted in violence that left a 35-year-old man with serious head injuries. Melbourne has sent a member of its player welfare department to Alice Springs.
