The Epirotes held their heads high as they watched second and third generations perform traditional dances in costume at the Epirotiko dance held in Adelaide, where they celebrated 99 years since the liberation of Ioannina that occurred on the 21 February 1913.
The dance, held at the Chiotiko Hall in Rosewater, saw the next generation of children from the Epirotiko dance group uphold their culture through traditional folk routines for their parents and grandparents to enjoy.
Over 100 people attended the dance with entertainment provided by a musical group all the way from Epirus.
