AIESEC, the world’s largest student organisation, recently put together ‘Global Think Tank 4 Greece’, an open discussion event hosted by Repo(we)rGreece. Over 500 students from all over the globe convened at DEREE – the American College of Greece Campus, where they exchanged ideas on how the youth could help the country regain stability.
Part of the event’s agenda is presenting values and goals upheld by the Repo(we)rGreece that Greece must should unite, instilling in its youth” honest values, an optimistic mentality, as well as analytical and creative ways of thinking”.
The students emphasised that Greece must both empower and invest in its youth, offering scholarships and creating opportunities for employment through independent initiatives.
Another concept the students who took the stage suggested was that the Greek youth needs to tackle the country’s image crisis, and communicating to the international community via the social media to reach not only fellow youths but also a broader international audience.
