Casey Stoner is back on top of the world championship points table after beating Jorge Lorenzo to win the Portuguese Moto GP and for the first time in his career has now stood on the podium of every MotoGP circuit.
The Australian Honda Repsol rider, dominated the race after starting on pole for the first time this season. Stoner’s team-mate, Spanish rider Dani Pedrosa, finished third for his 100th grand prix podium appearance. Stoner led from start to finish with Jorge Lorenzo hot on his tail throughout the journey. Andrea Dovizioso ran in fourth with Cal Crutchlow on his Yamaha fifth.
