SBS talk show Insight will be putting the magnifying glass on Greece next week as the nation goes into a new phase of uncertainty.
Greek citizens are lashing out on austerity measures, pointing the finger at parties that support the tough conditions – the conservative New Democracy and Socialist party PASOK.
However at the same there has been great backlash to Greece’s possible exit from the Eurozone.
As the saga continues, power-sharing talks have collapsed, leading to a new round of elections, and doubts that Greece can pull its economy back together to prevent the Eurozone from breaking apart.
In a special live episode Insight host Jenny Brockie will correspond with politicians, economists and everyday citizens in Greece and Europe to talk about the state of the economy in Europe, whether the tough austerity measures is the right approach to healing the economy, and whether the situation could spill into other European countries.
