In front of thousands of Greek motorsport fans lining up the special stage courses, Sebastien Loeb and co-driver Daniel Elena became a three time winners of the Acropolis Rally following their blitz on the field in Loutraki last Sunday. Not only did Loeb drive his Citroen without error, but also won the special Loutraki stage to take out the extra 3 bonus points.
Petter Solberg trailed Loeb by only 10.2 seconds on the last day, only to crash his Ford Fiesta RS WRC out of contention by hitting a tree and losing the rear wheel off his car. Mikko Hirvonen finished second in a Citroen DS3 and Jari-Matti Latvala came in third in his Ford Fiesta RS.
