$3000 will be sent in aid to Greek families affected by the current financial crisis in Greece on 23 July.
The Greek Ambassadors, Every Greek Is An Ambassadors for Greece Inc., collaborated with DHL express to raise the funds and donated items and send items including food, clothing and children’s toys to families affected by the crisis.
This is the first of a number of charitable activities that the Greek Ambassadors will be undertaking in support of Greece and of Greek people during the current social and financial crisis. The group has already received additional requests for help from other families who need our help. The Greek Ambassadors call on all Greeks Australians and all Greek Australian organizations and businesses to collaborate with them to help tackle these problems.
Next week they will announce additional information about their upcoming fundraiser. For more information or to join the Greek Ambassadors, you may contact the group via email on greekambassadors@hotmail.com.
The Greek financial crisis and its detrimental impact on employment, household income, pensions and access to welfare and medical support has given rise to unprecedented adversity within the social fabric of Greece, the home of democracy and the cradle of western civilization.
The Greek Ambassadors (Every Greek Is An Ambassadors for Greece Inc.) is a newly-founded non-profit organization that was founded and is based in Melbourne, Australia. Today, along with its 2000 members globally it has transformed into a dynamic voluntary movement dedicated to the active participation in initiatives that unite Greeks and Philhellenes globally, for the purpose of driving positive outcomes for Greece and for Hellenism.
