Dafni Trepca, a year 11 student at South Oakleigh College, has won the International Greek Youth Parliament Competition and will address Greek parliament this year.
Her essay, The Relevance of Human Rights in Today’s Society – written entirely in Greek – was judged by a panel of linguists who replied that her essay was well written and had a high quality of Greek language skills.
Ms Trepca is off to address Greece’s parliament, international delegates and distinguished guests. This award is worth over $5000 and includes a return flight to Greece and an all expenses paid stay in the country.
South Oakleigh College has won this competition for two years running.
