A competition presented by Think Global and Film Local is calling everyone to get their cameras out and film the local environment.
St George Environmental Film Competition and Festival is all about “showcasing our local environment and highlighting the effort made by individuals and local communities to protect the environment”.
The competition is open to everyone under different categories, and the winners and runner’s up receive cash prizes.
– Primary schools – $750 and $350
– Secondary Years 7-10: $750 and $350
– Secondary Years 11-12: $750 and $350
– Open individual entries under 18 years: $500 and $250
– Open individual entries over 18 years: $600 and $350
The films need to relate the following themes: What are you doing to help the environment? What part of your local environment is most important to you?
The two best films from each category will be screened at the Think Global/Film Local St George Environmental Film Competition and Festival to be held in November 2012.
Each video must be between 30 seconds and 3 minutes and are to be submitted by 5:00 pm on Friday 26 October.
Entries are to be saved as .mov on a DVD and sent to:
