The Greek Orthodox Community of Clayton are celebrating 40 years of community service by revealing a Board of Honour to be unveiled by the Hon Simon Crean.
Established in 1972, the tireless efforts of its leadership and membership has served the religious, educational and cultural needs of its members and the Greek Community at large. Over this period thousands of Greek residents from the surrounding municipalities have sought and received support, refuge, assistance and guidance in their endeavours to secure a better life for them and their families in Victoria.
The 40 years of service celebrations will take place on Sunday 2 September at 2:30 at the Greek Orthodox Community Centre of Clayton’s community centre. All are welcome and refreshments will be offered on the day.
