Champions Brisbane Roar have re-signed six premiership winners, including A-League player of the year Thomas Broich for the next five seasons.
Joining international marquee Broich on the dotted line was captain Matt Smith, vice-captain Shane Stefanutto, goalkeeper Michael Theoklitos, import Henrique and full-back Ivan Franjic.
Broich and Theoklitos secured a four-year extension while central defender Smith, Henrique and Franjic agreed to sign for another three years until the end of the 2015-2016 season.
Veteran defender Stefanutto signed a one-year extension, taking him to the end of the 2013-14 season.
The deal means the 31-year-old Broich, who has been a star in Brisbane since his arrival at the start of the 2010-2011 season, will be part of the Roar until the end of the 2016-17 season.
The signings are a massive coup for the Roar, who are looking to win a third straight A-League title under new coach Rado Vidosic.
“This is a great day for Brisbane Roar,” Vidosic said in a statement.
