The promoters who organised the soccer friendly for Olympiakos against Melbourne Victory are being sued by the Melbourne side for unpaid fees.
The A-League club is seeking $110,000 from the sports and music promoter John Denison, for money it claims is its share of revenue from the match played on May 19, 2012.
According to documents lodged in the Supreme Court of Victoria, Mr Denison had “agreed to pay Melbourne Victory the sum of $110,000 on or before 31 July 2012”.
The club has also made a claim on sporting event financier SEQ, which is run by Stephen Duval and based at Fox Studios in Sydney, over the outstanding amount, claiming the company had agreed to indemnify the club against “a failure by Denison to pay”.
