Victorian Leader of the Opposition Daniel Andrews has shown his support for the Lonsdale St Greek precinct by dining at Tsindos Tavern after the Labor party’s post-strategy conference on Monday.
This was a sign to show support of the street signature lighting over Russell and Lonsdale Streets intersections, weather screens and canopies to promote al fresco dining and the lighting upgrades and artwork in the laneways in and around the precinct, in addition to the $2million Federal Government grant given to the Greek Community of Melbourne and Victoria to begin construction on their new cultural centre.
