Business leaders from Greece are set to arrive in Australia next week to attend a trade mission in order for them to find new business opportunities in Australia and escape the current financial situation in Greece.
The delegation will be accompanied by the Minster for Macedonia and Thrace, Theodoros Karaoglou, and the Mayors of the Municipality of Western Mani and the Municipality of Lagadas, Dimitrios Giannimaras and Ioannis Anastasiadis. The event is being organised by the Hellenic Australian Chamber of Commerce and Industry (HACCI), with the delegation coordinated to Australia by the Thessaloniki International Trade Fair Office.
A broad range of business interest from Greece, including food and beverages, a renewable energy engineering firm, a security systems company, fashion accessory businesses, furniture and home-wares, dermatological products and a leading wood processing company, make up the delegation with all of them looking to get a foothold in Australia.
