With filming to begin in Melbourne this year, Australian hit reality tv show MasterChef will take up home in the poultry pavilion at the Royal Melbourne Show.

Royal Agricultural Society of Victoria board chairman Stephen Spargo said poultry competitions would go ahead this year, following rumous they would be cancelled.

“The pavilion which we normally use is currently used by the MasterChef organisation where they’re doing all filming for Masterchef and they will be doing a major event in it during the show,” Mr Spargo said.

“We’re currently just looking at where we can reconfigure the competition for this year.”
