Melbourne Victory is two players short, after the January transfer season has seen Julius Davis and Petar Franjic opt out of their contracts.
Striker Julius Davies has signed on to Brisbane Roar, while it is still unknown where defender Petar Franjic will go.
Roar confirmed signing Davies, with Brisbane coach Mike Mulvey saying he would be a strong addition to the squad.
He’s an exciting young prospect, quick, creative and I’m sure the Brisbane Roar fans will enjoy seeing him play,” Mulvey said.
“He can play in any of the wide positions but we’ll see at training where he fits best within our system.”
Davies has only made two A-league appearances, but has not featured in any Melbourne Victory’s match day squad in 2012/13.
The young player was keen to start playing first team football and with his new signing, will hopefully play in more major matches.
Franjic, 20, joined Victory in 2010 and made 31 senior appearances for the club, seven of which have come this season under coach Ange Postecoglou.
“Petar is a terrific clubman but, unfortunately for him, competition is strong within the squad and he decided that it would be best for his development to seek regular first team opportunities elsewhere,” Postecoglou said.
“We wish Petar all the best for the future.”
Franjic took the time to thank his team and sighted his wish to play more first team football.
“I’d like to thank the club, the players and the fans for making my time at Melbourne Victory extremely enjoyable,” Franjic said.
“As a young player though, I want to be playing regularly and for that reason I’ve chosen to explore other options.”
