Entries are open for reporters, editors, designers, photographers and publishers to contribute their work for the inaugural Premier’s Multicultural Media Awards.
Conducted by the Community Relations Commission of NSW, the awards recognise excellence in journalism across media outlets in the state’s multicultural communities.
The Premier’s Multicultural Media Awards acknowledge the valuable contribution multicultural media plays in our society. As well as connecting people to their original language, culture and identity, multicultural media helps contribute to media diversity in NSW. It is time that this significant segment of our news media is given the recognition it deserves.
The awards recognise excellence among journalists, photographers, editors and designers in print, radio, television and new media across 10 award categories including: Best News Report; Best Investigative Story and; Best Print Publication.
Nominations close on 25 January, 2013. The winners will be announced at the awards dinner on 28 February. Information and nomination forms are available at www.multiculturalnsw.com.au
