Melbourne Victory star Marco Rojas is reportedly being eyed by European heavyweights Liverpool and Juventus.
Scouts from both clubs have been watching the 21-year-old New Zealand player, who has scored 10 goals in 15 A-League games.
The scouts want to watch him play against Alessandro Del Piero’s Sydney FC on Saturday, and a good performance could result in them bidding for him as early as next week, Melbourne’s Herald Sun newspaper claims.
Melbourne Victory coach Ange Postecoglou said he was unaware of the specific interest but that interest from overseas clubs wouldn’t surprise him.
He was confident Victory would keep Rojas until the end of the season.
Rojas’s contract expires in three months, but if the English and Italian giants want to get him in the January transfer window it could cost them a substantial six-figure sum.
Rojas played for Wellington Phoenix between 2009 and 2011 before moving to Victory.
