FFV clubs can apply for Grants of up to $10,000 if they support new migrants in the “United through football” initiative.
Although funding for Horn of Africa communities will take priority, support for other new arrival and multicultural communities will be considered.
It is aimed at sponsoring both men and women, from the ages of 6 to 24.
The initiative hopes to build confidence, independence, and a sense of belonging among new arrivals, strengthening their capacity to contribute to and influence their local communities.
Registration costs, travel expenses and equipment are some of the things funded by the grants.
