The council of Whittlesea has honoured Eleni Argyriou (left) and Effie Christomallis (right) for their outstanding volunteer work for the community. Ms Argyriou was honoured for her time spent at the Greek Women’s Orthodox Group, while Ms Christomallis was honoured for her work co-ordinating the kitchen at the Greek Orthodox Community of Whittlesea. Cr Kris Pavlidis (centre) nominated the ladies for the Local Whittlesea Awards on International Women’s Day.
