The seventh Annual Meeting of Postgraduates in Hellenic or Roman Antiquities and Egyptology, Amphorae VII, will be held at the University of Sydney, from Wednesday 17 July to Friday 19 July, 2013.
Sponsored by the Australian Archaeological Institute at Athens, the conference is inviting abstract submissions from Australian and international graduate students in relevant areas. The Amphorae VII is open to postgraduate and honours students in all aspects of antiquity – whether your research is on history, literature, or archaeology, in the Egyptian, Greek, Roman or post-Roman worlds.
The conference provides an opportunity for Postgraduate and Honours students from Australia and New Zealand to interact and share their current work among peers.
Since its inception in 2007, Amphorae has established itself as Australia and New Zealand’s major conference for postgraduates in the study of the ancient world, attracting delegates from across the region and around the globe to six highly successful events.
Abstract submissions of 200-300 words for papers of 20 minutes duration, as well as a brief biography, should be submitted by Friday 31 May to amphoraevii@gmail.com.
The conference is free to attend.
