The Kastellorizian Association of Victoria held its annual VCE Recognition Award and Kastellorizan of the Year event last Sunday.

Ms Paige Adgemis was named as the top Kastellorizian VCE student, while Mr. Stathis E Efstathis won the coveted Kastellorizian of the Year award.

The award is in its 20th year and is one of the few national awards in the Greek community.

Mr Efstathis is a pharmacist from Brisbane and a leader in the Greek Community, a great supporter of the Church and also very active within the Kastellorizian Community.

The events coincided with St. Constantine and St. Helen’s day and began with a service at St. Constantine’s and St. Helens Church in South Yarra.

Consul General of Greece in Victoria, Ms Eleni Lianidou, MP Ms. Jenny Mikakos and Minister Martin Foley also attended the events.
