The third cycle of seminars presented by the Greek Orthodox Community of Melbourne and Victoria (GOCMV) kicked off Thursday night with the lecture The Transmission of Culturally Determined Health Beliefs Among Three Generations.
Speaking on behalf of the organising committee, Nick Dallas told Neos Kosmos:
“It’s the third year that we have run the seminars and we attract more and more people as we go along.
“Regardless of the fact that this year, because we do not have our own building and we do change venues, the interest has increased and our audiences appreciate all these new venues,” he said.
By the end of 2013, the GOCMV would have put on over 30 seminars.
“This is an impressive number even for a university department,” explains Mr Dallas.
The third cycle of seminars focuses on the modern era and the Greek diaspora.
