The lecture A Family’s Journey to the Promised Land will be given by Mrs Olympia Pearce as part of season three (August – October 2013) of Greek History and Culture Seminars.
‘This is our Promised Land’ is Olympia Rizidis Pearce first book, published by Boolarong Press. It is the story of her family’s fight for survival, traced from the times when the writer’s father and his parents, Asian Minor Greeks, were expelled from Turkey with around 1,500,00 others.
The seminars are held by the Greek Orthodox Community of Melbourne and Victoria.
