Pavlos Fyssas, the well-known hip-hop performer stabbed to death by a neonazi on Tuesday night in Keratsini Piraeus, was buried on Thursday in Korydallos near Piraeus, a day after he was stabbed to death by a neonazi

Relatives, friends and thousands of people attended his funeral.

Antifascist demonstrations that turned violent were held the previous day throughout Greece. Police said they detained 130 people and arrested 34.

The 45-year old man and Golden Dawn member, Yiorgos Roupakias, that has been charged with Fyssas’ murder and for the illegal possession of a weapon has already confessed to police that he stabbed Fyssas.

Roupakias will be led before a prosecutor today. His wife, who has also been arrested, has told police that her husband received a phone call in order to go to the café where other Golden Dawn members were already attacking Fyssas. Police are believed to be checking phone records in an attempt to identify the man who called Roupakias.
