An excursion to the RD Milns Antiquities Museum will take place next Saturday.
Organised by the Asia Minor Greek Historical Society Inc (AMGHS), the fully guided tour involves a hands on experience with a selection of the 7000 original objects housed in this museum.
The RD Milns Antiquities Museum is the foremost collection of classical Mediterranean antiquities in Queensland and amongst the top university collections in Australia. The collection now consists of several thousand antiquities on constant display, mostly relating to the classical civilisations of Greece, Rome and Egypt, but also housing collections which are relevant to the study of other Near Eastern and European groups.
AMGHS has also organised discounted tickets for transport to and from the museum as well as light refreshments for each person on the tour.
The RD Milns Antiquities Museum will take place on Saturday 5 October. For tickets contact Marina Campbell, Secretary AMGHS, on 0439 076 672.
