The deadline for the submission of income tax statements for the fiscal year 2013 has finally expired. Nevertheless, the headache for the taxpayers continues, since they are being summoned to submit their statements for the real estate property status, also known as E9 statement.
Who should file the E9 statement?
A) Everyone who has had any changes in their ownerships within the calendar year 2012
B) Anyone who has not had any changes in their ownerships, but does own agricultural plots (outside the zoning plan)
How do I submit the E9 statement?
The E9 statement can only be submitted via the internet application of the Ministry of Economics by visiting the website www.gsis.gr
What will I need to submit the E9 statement?
Apart from knowing your username and password (klidarithmos), you need to access your account at www.gsis.gr. It would also be useful to keep a copy of your Title Deed handy, as well as previous E9 statements, in order to verify or to correct any previous mistakes that might have been made to your property status
What is the deadline for the submission of E9 statement?
According to the latest newsletter (20/09/2013) of the Ministry of Economics, any changes concerning buildings and plots (Table 1, E9 statement) must be made by the 27/09/2013. Any changes concerning agricultural plots (Table 2 , E9 statement) must be made by the 14/10/2013
Furthermore, it is worth noting that this is the third prolongation of the deadline for the submission of E9 statements given by the Ministry of Economics and due to the complexity of the application nobody can say with absolute certainty that it will be the last.
Of course all the above submissions can be effected through a limited Power of Attorney to an experienced Greek lawyer or tax accountant, without the individual having to travel to Greece.
