Peter Skapetis grabbed five goals in three games for Australia’s Under-20 side during their recent AFC U19 Championship Qualifiers.
The Queens Park Ranger’s (QPR) striker was on target last Friday as he hit four goals in the Aussie’s 7-0 demolition of Hong Kong in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia.
Skapetis grabbed a second half hat-trick to add to his strike inside the opening 45 minutes as they ran out comfortable winners.
The QPR Elite Development Squad forward was unable to add to his tally in Australia’s second match in the competition, a precursor for the Under-20 World Cup qualifiers, as the Young Socceroos 3-0 won against Chinese Taipei on Saturday.
However, he did manage to score a fifth goal of the tournament against Vietnam on Monday but was unable to prevent Australia from suffering a 5-1 defeat.
