The Adelaide Street theatre presents Afroditi Sings, A Cabaret of Love featuring mezzo-soprano Angela Giblin and accomplished composer and chamber musician Margaret Legge-Wilkinson on piano and keyboard.
The cabaret, inspired by Afroditi, the goddess of love, will feature arias of passion (Carmen and Delilah), wild flamenco songs from Andalusia, poignant Greek odes, the ever-popular songs of Cole Porter, Duke Ellington and Stephen Sondheim and the tragic chansons of Edith Piaf.
After a sold-out season at Teatro Vivaldi’s in 2011, Angela and Margaret return to inspire and delight, performing a variety of musical genres as Angela sings in five languages.
