Greek Australian fans will be glued to the television tonight, watching the Socceroos take on Costa Rica in a friendly then tuning in to see Greece take on Romania in their last qualifying match for the World Cup.

Thousands braved the early morning wake up call on Friday to see Greece take home a strong 3-1 win against Romania in Athens. Now they take on the team in their home soil in Bucharest, hoping to brush off the away fatigue and bring home another win and ultimately a ticket to Brazil.

The Socceroos will be hoping to show their improvement under new coach Ange Postecoglou in their international friendly in Sydney tonight.

For Aussie fans hoping to catch the Greece vs Romania match, Sydney, Melbourne, Adelaide and Darwin are hosting viewings in town from 5:30am for a 6:00am kick-off.

Melbourne will host it at The Beachcomber Café, 10-18 Jacka Boulevard, St Kilda; Sydney will host it Canterbury Leagues Club, Paragon Showcase Room, 26 Bridge Rd Belmore, NSW; Adelaide will show it at 5:30am at The Pan-Macedonian Association, 94 Henley Beach Rd, Mile End and Darwin will host it at the Greek Community of Northern Australia Greek School Hall, Chapman Road Nightcliff NT.

Tickets are $20 for the Sydney, Melbourne and Adelaide events and can be purchased at the door. Darwin’s viewing is a gold coin donation.
