The Justice for Cyprus Committee (SEKA) in Victoria, is calling an open meeting this Tuesday 11 March, at 7.30pm, at the Cypriot Community of Melbourne and Victoria, 495 Lygon Street, Brunswick. The purpose of the meeting, where all community members and representatives of organisations are invited, is to
discuss and plan this year’s July commemorative events in Melbourne, in relation to the 40th anniversary of the Turkish invasion of Cyprus.
The Cypriot issue, an issue of invasion and occupation, is back in the news lately as a result of the resumption in February of the reunification talks between the Cypriot government and the Turkish Cypriot side.
