Life long support has taken a whole new meaning with West Adelaide Hellas’ devotee Kilo Moustrides.

The great-great grandmother celebrated her 104th birthday this week, with great-grandson and West Adelaide Under 6 junior, Jonathon Tsoulakis, giving her a special gift.

The much loved yiayia was presented with an honorary playing strip with the number 104 on the back.

“I’m going to have it framed and place it on the wall,” she said. “It will sit perfectly, next to the letter from the queen.”

The club says Ms Moustrides has been a supporter ever since she migrated from Cyprus. The veteran supporter remembers the club in its infancy and says
there is still a special place in her heart for the NSL days.

“Particularly I used to love the derby against the Italians,” she said.

Most of her grandchildren have played for the Hellas juniors over the years, and at 104, she expects many more to come through the club’s ranks.

The club is currently starting their new 2014 season, and after three games is undefeated and is on top of the ladder. The club has played 40 matches undefeated in the last two years.
