Recent graduate Anthea Tsaousis took out AHEPA’s first prize in their annual VCE Awards last week.
The young Carey Baptist Grammar School student received an ATAR score placing her in the top 0.4 per cent of the state and took home a $1,000 prize from AHEPA.
In second place was new AHEPA Youth president John Papaemmanouil, who placed in the top 3.4 per cent of the state and received a $500 prize.
In third, receiving a prize of $200 each were Nicolette Dina Katsamabanis, Dimitra Kypraios, Rebekah Katherine Politis, Zachary Pavlou, Mathew Petrentsis and Zoe Diamanda Stathis.
The prize money, presented by guest of honour Justice Emilios Kyrou, was donated by AHEPA chapter members and is designed to help students further their studies outside of secondary school.
The first prize was donated by AHEPA member Paul Theodore and second prize was donated by Elizabeth and Spiros Rombotis in memory of their parents.
