This month, HACCI joined forces with The Australian Greek Welfare Society (AGWS) to host the April ‘Proinos Kafes’ at AGWS Headquarters in Union Street, Brunswick. Symbolically held on the day before Good Friday, guests were treated to a traditional Greek Easter breakfast and were offered an insight into the great work that AGWS does. CEO Mrs Voula Messimeri and President George Spiliotis gave an insight into the important community work being undertaken by AGWS in an array of areas, including support of newly arrived Greeks, care and education services for the elderly as well as providing child care support and assistance.
