State Member for Perth, Ms Eleni Evangel MLA, is calling on WA residents to recognise and reward the outstanding achievements of apprentices, trainees and vocational students, as well as the contribution made by trainers, training organisations and employers, by nominating them for the 20th WA Training Awards this year.
There are 14 categories in this year’s awards, including WA Apprentice of the Year, WA Trainer of the Year, WA Training Initiative and WA Employer of the year.
“The WA Training Awards this year mark their 20th year of celebrating the hard work and accomplishments of those working in the training sector,” said Ms Evangel.
“It is important that we highlight and showcase their achievements and commitment in enhancing the skills and confidence of our community members, and encouraging them to be the best they can be,” added Ms Evangel.
The award winners will be announced at a presentation event to be held in September and will share in prizes totalling more than $90,000.
Applications for this year’s awards close at 5.00 pm on Friday 9th May, 2014.
Winners may also be eligible to compete against the nation’s best in the Australian Training Awards later this year.
